Course Overview
This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to diagnose, analyse, evaluate, design and modify automotive electrical and mechanical systems.

Course Requirements
Pre-Requisites
Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
- AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
- AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
INTERNATIONAL
English requirements:
- must have an IELTS score of 5.5 or
- must have a TOEFL iBT score of 46 or
- must have a PTE Academic score of 42 or
- must have a Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 47 or
- must have an OET score of pass
- Completed year 11
